Individual Psychotherapy
Individual therapy is a dynamic and client-centered process that can be short-term or long-term, depending on the client's needs and goals. Its overarching aim is to improve mental health, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life by providing a supportive and therapeutic relationship where personal growth and healing can take place. The difference between play therapy and individual psychotherapy is the use of talk vs. play. This type of service involves verbal communication as the primary mode of expression. Clients talk with therapists to explore thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns of thinking. Various therapeutic modalities like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Adlerian therapy or Client Centered therapy may be employed.

If you choose to move forward with therapy we will have our official first session where we will explore specific background questions and come up with a treatment plan together. This is called an intake.
